FAT
CAMP.
the feel-bad comedy of the year.

FAT CAMP is the debut production of Sisters Grimm: a twisted,
trash-talking comedy for a TV generation, tackling the most crippling
disease to sweep the world since the Bubonic Plague: Obesity!
Featuring a cast of emaciated comediennes outfitted in the latest
fat-suit couture, FAT CAMP blunders along at a break-neck speed
– chewing and spitting out jokes faster than Karen Carpenter at
a buffet.
Inspired
by tabloid-hysteria, reality TV, and weight-loss fads, FAT CAMP
proves that it doesn’t matter if you’re fat on the outside, because
chances are you’re stupid on the inside.
SYNOPSIS.
It’s a tough and lonely life for an overweight girl: a fact Makaila
Goldstein knows all too well. At sixteen her parents are dead,
boys won’t make eye contact, and she has to wash herself with
a pack of baby wipes. That is, until Makaila gets the opportunity
of a lifetime: three weeks at Camp Jolly!
Once
there, she attracts new friends like a fat man attracts skin infections.
There’s a bitter Goth burn-out, a no-threat “triple-threat”, a
“big and bootyful” plus-size diva, and Yukatowa – a Japanese girl
from the ninth circle of Hell. The usual crowd.
All is going well until the camp leader, Jed Gristle, starts gaining
weight – and makes the shocking discovery that fat equals contagious!
It’s an obesity epidemic! Will Makaila find true love? Can Delia,
the sinewy and psychotic ex-model, save the campers from their
flabby fate? And if so, who will save the girls from Delia? –
You? I guess we’ll just wait and see.
