LITTLE MERCY

Roger and Virginia Summers seem to have it all. He's a successful theatre director, she's a successful drunken housewife. But their perfect lives are missing a key ingredient: a child. One stormy night, little Mercy arrives on their doorstep, and their prayers are answered.

A plucky 8-year-old with a taste for ice-cream and lollipops, it soon appears their new daughter also has a hobby of an unfortunate - and altogether darker - nature. Cafeful what you wish for....

A gory and dragged-out dissection of the 'evil child' movie genre, Little Mercy takes Hollywood's Golden Age to a melodramatic extreme.

REVIEWS:

★★★★ 'Declan Greene and Ash Flanders pile on the absurd horrors in the second half of the play until you think you can't stand any more. Then the vomiting starts... I haven't been so surprised or laughed so hard in a theatre in ages.' The Sun-Herald

★★★★½ 'As a 20-something, it’s not often you see a show on the main stages where you think “this was made for me.” Sisters Grimm’s old-Hollywood mash-up is one such show. See it.' The Brag

★★★★ 'To say that Little Mercy is a high-camp delight is to massively understate the case... Scrabble for the few remaining tickets.'  Time Out
